Loyola wrestling has it's best season ever with a 5th place finish at the National Prep tournament at Lehigh University. Several individuals had outstanding seasons. Blake Holden 1st at MSA, Mercersburg, Catholic Tournaments. Finishes 4th at National Preps and becomes High School All- American. Junior Chris Stratemeyer goes 31-1 and wins the MSA, Catholic, Jesuit, and National Prep Tournaments and becomes first National Champion from Loyola. Becomes High School All- American. Tim Spielman is 4th in MSA, 4th in National Preps becomes High School All- American Dave Daniecki finishes fourth at National Preps Becomes High School All-American. JV is 6-2 |

Tim Speilman was named honorable mention All- Metro and was the first Loyola sophomore to win an MSA title, Ian Robbins finished 5th at the National Preps and tied a team record with 21 pins. Chris Stratemeyer was named second team all- Metro and was named the team MVP. Dave Daniecki finished third at the National Preps and was also a All-Metro honorable mention. JV finished 2-8 |

Co-Captains Billy Rovito and Tom Delauney each finished the year with 33 wins. Billy Rovito placed 2nd at Mercersburg, 1st at Gilman Duels, 3rd at Arundel, and 4th in the MIS. Delauney placed 1st at Mercersburg, 1st at Fallston, 3rd in the MIAA. Luis Gamboa placed 1st at Friends and 3rd at Mercersburg. Tom Daley placed 2nd at Friends and 3rd at Fallston. Junior Rob Collins finished 2nd at Friends and unfortunately had his season cut short by an injury. Danny Natterman,a sophomore, placed 1st at Mercersburg, 1st at Fallston, 1st at Gilman Duels, 4th in the MIAA, 2nd at Arundel and 5th in the MIS. On a team note Loyola defeated Mt. St Joseph's 32-29. |
